NADEEM HAQUE, B.Eng., P.Eng.
Nadeem Haque is a licensed professional Engineer in Ontario, with 26 years of experience in engineering, project management and asset management. He has gained extensive and in-depth experience in asset management for facilities and buildings, roads, storm water, detention ponds, equipment, water and wastewater and solid waste management having prepared Asset Management Plans for 34 Ontario Municipalities, York Regions Solid Waste Management Asset Management Plan and York Region’s Community and Health Services Asset Management Plan (90% completed). He also has experience in building sciences, structural engineering, and environmental site assessments. Projects have involved design, analysis, project management, site inspections, writing engineering and asset management reports and studies, RFPs, RFQs, asset management research, proposals, implementing and developing engineering and asset management software (Ameresco’s AssetPlanner).
Mr. Haque has a B.A. from the University of Toronto, In Economics, and a Bachelor’s Engineering degree (Honours) in Civil Engineering from King’s College, University of London (England). Software Proficiency: Asset management software (Ameresco’s AssetPlanner), AutoCAD, Mitek 20/20 (structural design & analysis), MS Office, and MS Project.

ASSET MANAGEMENT
Project Manager/Engineer, York Region, Ontario, 2017 – present. Community and Health Services Asset Management Plan, York Region, Community and Health Services (CHS) Department, Housing Services Branch, Infrastructure Asset Management Group. The Housing Services Branch owns and manages Social Housing facilities in York Region. Wrote the entire Request for Proposal (RFP) on the CHS Asset Management Plan; I am the Project Manager/Engineer for this project. The CHS Asset Management Plan will be developed by end of December, 2018 and will include Proposed Levels of Service, far in advance of the Regulatory 2024 deadline for non-core assets. Finalized the Building Condition Assessment and Energy Audit RFP.
Project Manager/Engineer, York Region, Ontario, 2017. Lead the development of the first of its kind Corporate Asset Management Plan for the CHS Department of York Region.
Project Manager/Engineer, York Region, Ontario, 2017. Prepared the 2017 State of the Infrastructure Report in conjunction with the Consultant for Paramedics and Seniors Services, in addition to Housing York Inc. (HYI) facilities, York Region. Capital Plan $500 Million over 10-years.
Project Manager/Engineer, York Region, Ontario, 2017. Lead the valuation of Housing York Facilities (40 buildings); working with the cost consultant and reviewing the calculations and report. Valuation just over $1 Billion.
Project Manager/Engineer, York Region, Ontario, 2017. Performed Operational, Technical Reviews of non-HYI Housing Providers’ buildings/facilities, York Region.
Project Manager, York Region, Ontario, 2016 – 2017. Conducted project management, report writing, workshops and research for the following projects: Project Manager for York Region Solid Waste Management Asset Management Plan (State of the Infrastructure, Levels of Service/Risk Assessment, Asset Management Strategy, Data Strategy, Financial Strategy (100 Year Capital Plan), Asset Management Collaboration and Continuous Improvement (Road Map)). Recommended Asset Management replacement costs (a Technical Report was prepared and added to the Asset Management Plan). This plan was successfully completed and the results were used in York Region’s Corporate Asset Management Plan.
Project Manager, Uxbridge, Ontario, 2017. Lead Building Condition Assessment of Water Pollution Control Plant. Managed all engineering disciplines (electrical, structural, civil, process mechanical and building mechanical) and in charge of the final report.
Project Manager, Town of Newmarket, Ontario, 2016. Lead development of Newmarket Asset Management Strategy: best practices and determination of Asset Management Maturity through meetings with all departments that were part of the strategy; this was conducted with the Cole Asset Management Team and the Prime Consultant.
Project Manager, Asset Management Plans (AMP) for 34 Municipalities, Ontario, 2013 – 2015. Required managing a team of professionals with experience in finance and engineering as project managers and data analysts. Producing an AMP required following several key steps, from project initialization to closure. My task involved managing staff involved in data analysis, preparing capital plans for roads (which were the largest component of each of these municipalities in terms of costs), assessing water, wastewater and storm water assets and associated facilities, equipment, buildings, roads, culvert and bridge condition data collection and/or analysis and overall finalization of all Asset Management Plans. 10–Year Capital Plans were developed for the Asset Management Plans for the following municipalities.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
Structural Design Engineer, Ontario and California, 2010. Applefest Lodge (residential, multistorey) where the total building was designed (all elements), Brighton, Ontario; Solar Panels (designed all elements), California, 2010; Assisted Housing, Brampton (designed all elements), Ontario; Toronto Transit Commission Buildings modular buildings (designed all elements), Toronto, Ontario.
Structural Design Engineer, Ontario, 2007 – 2009. Designed roof and floor trusses for residential, commercial, institutional and farm buildings submitted by the fabricators and their engineers using Mitek 20/20 software. Structural analysis, re-design if required, repair/redesign of broken, damaged or improperly installed trusses. Analyzing roof placement plans for the entire building (i.e. the interconnection between all trusses on the building to see if loads were being transferred properly etc.). Designing for snow loading/drift and updating standard details; using a suite of graphics programs connected to Mitek 20/20, for structural design and drafting.
Structural Design Engineer, Toronto, Ontario, 2006. Wrote and illustrated the technical and installation manual for the Amdec Technical Manual a major new structural engineering product: the “AmDeck Floor and Roof System” which is an innovative insulated concrete form designed by Amvic Building Systems.
