Kumar Sinnathamby is a registered Professional Quantity Surveyor of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Cost Estimator with over 20 years international and Canadian construction industry experience. Project experience includes Estimating Capital Expenditure for EPC projects such as power plants, mining shafts, mining tunnels, water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs and oil and gas process plants. MUNICIPAL (Capital Planning & Valuations)
Lead Cost Estimator & Quantity Surveyor, York Region, Ontario, 2018. Performed quantity-take-offs required for asset valuations of 40 properties owned and manged by the Housing York Inc. to assist their Housing and Development Strategy group to plan for future social housing needs in the Regional Municipality of York, part of the Greater Toronto Area. The project required the calculation of replacement construction costs for high rise apartment buildings, town house complexes, senior citizen apartments and shelters for youth and adults. The methodologies employed included quantity take-offs from available drawings and floor area methods where drawings were not available, as well as site visits. The total estimated replacement construction cost valuation was just over $1 Billion Canadian Dollars.
